Part of old Route 431 will be closed for sewer upgrades

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. (WHNT) – Portions of the old Route 431 will be closed next week for sanitary sewer upgrades.

According to Huntsville Utilities, all lanes of the old Highway 431 will be closed from The Meadows Boulevard SE to the intersection of US 431 on Tuesday, July 12. It will be closed from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Huntsville Utilities said drivers should avoid the area during the shutdown to avoid traffic jams. Traffic control measures and signage will be in place in the work area.
