Paris Saint-Germain are set to appoint Christophe Galtier as a replacement for Mauricio Pochettino and the club could sign former Premier League stars to play behind Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar

Paris Saint-Germain look set to name Mauricio Pochettino’s successor next week as they ring the changes again.
Former Spurs boss Pochettino may have won Ligue 1 by 15 points but he will leave the club for only winning that trophy and last season’s Coupe de France.

Their failure to make the Champions League, which saw them knocked out by eventual winners Real Madrid in the Round of 16, was a blow.
Europe’s premier club competition has long been coveted by PSG owners Qatar Sports Investments.
Meanwhile, they also only reached the French Cup round of 16, despite having Lionel Messi, Neymar, Kylian Mbappe and many other stars on their books.
As a result, Argentina boss Pochettino will be transferred and Nice head coach Christophe Galtier will take his place once an agreement is reached between all parties.
Guardian journalist Fabrizio Romano tweeted: “Paris Saint-Germain hope to resolve the manager’s situation next week. At the top of the list, still Christophe Galtier for 10 days – PSG, now optimistic about discussions with Nice.
Meanwhile, it looks like a deal to transfer Galtier to the club would also grease the wheels of two potential summer transfers.

Paris Saint-Germain may have some of the best forwards and defenders in world football, but their midfield needs improvement and two stars have been linked with the club.
Former Bayern Munich and Benfica star Renato Sanches, who was excellent with Lille last season, is among those wanted.
Just like Porto midfielder and Manchester United transfer target Vitinha.

The former Wolves loanee excelled in the Primeira Liga last season, despite the Premier League side refusing to exercise an option to buy the player at the end of the 2020/21 campaign.
Now, however, a transfer to PSG could take place.
Romano added: “Mauricio Pochettino will leave, no changes – Galtier would approve the Renato Sanches and Vitinha deals.”
