Paris 2024 Olympic Games: prices, events, calendar … What you need to know about the new phase of ticket sales which opens this Wednesday

500 days before the event that will bring the whole world together in Paris, the second batch of ticket sales for the Olympic Games will begin this Wednesday, March 14.
The results of this first phase of ticket sales is a “success” according to Tony Estanguet, president of the Paris 2024 Olympics organizing committee. After this first phase of sales, 3.25 million tickets were sold.
And even if the exorbitant prices have been pointed out, from this Wednesday, March 15, tickets from 24€ will be available. But then how to take advantage of it? The only way to access the 1.5 million tickets made available during this second phase of sales is to go to the official Paris 2024 website and register for the draw.
A raffle yes! Since unlike the first batch of tickets, you will have to register this Wednesday and hope to be drawn to then be able to buy tickets, with a limit of 30 tickets per person. For this second phase, the possibility of registering at the ticket office will be possible until April 20 at 6 p.m. The lucky ones will then be able to start buying tickets from May 11.
As for the price, 10% of the places will be at the price of 24€. But of course, these do not concern the sessions most requested by the public. As for the opening ceremony which will take place on the Seine on Friday July 26, 2024, it will be necessary to pay between 90 and 2700€. For the closing ceremony, the most expensive tickets will be 1600€.
In addition, we already know the prices of the finals for certain sports. For that of basketball on August 11, it will be necessary to pay between 95 and 980€. The judo finals on August 3 offer slightly lower prices with tickets between €100 and €380. Finally, for the queen event of the 100m on August 4, it will be necessary to count between 125 and 980€.
A third phase of sales will see the light of day at the end of 2023, with a further 3.25 million tickets available, without the draw system. Finally, a resale phase will be implemented in 2024.
