Palestinians celebrate deadly terror attack with sweets, fireworks and ‘Allahu Akbar’

Palestinian towns in the West Bank and Gaza erupted with shouts of ‘Allahu Akbar’, gunshots and fireworks to celebrate a deadly terror attack in Jerusalem that killed seven people and injured several others .
The Palestinian terrorist, identified as Alqam Khayri, a 21-year-old East Jerusalem resident, opened fire on a group of Israeli worshipers as they left a synagogue in Jerusalem’s Neve Yaakov neighborhood.
It is the deadliest Palestinian terrorist attack against Israelis since 2008.
Videos posted on social media showed hundreds of Palestinians in at least 7 different cities marching and chanting in the streets, honking car horns, shooting bullets into the air with guns, handing out sweets and setting off fireworks. in jubilation at the terrorist attack.

The day after the shooting, another also took place in Jerusalem, when a 13-year-old Arab terrorist opened fire on a group of Israelis, seriously injuring a father and son.
The Palestinian Authority issued a statement Saturday saying it holds Israel “fully responsible for the dangerous escalation” of violence, while failing to mention the two terror attacks. He also called Palestinian terrorists “martyrs”.

The attacks follow Thursday’s IDF raid in the West Bank city of Jenin in which nine people, most of them terrorists, were killed.

The terrorists were planning a large-scale bomb attack against Israel. Gaza-based terror groups then launched a barrage of rockets into Israel. The Palestinian Authority announced that it would cut its security cooperation with Israel following the raid.
