Pakistan’s Faheem Ashraf has been cleared for the second test match against Australia in Karachi after testing negative for Covid-19, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Thursday. Faheem Ashraf had previously tested positive for coronavirus after reaching Karachi. After missing the first Test match with a hamstring injury, his participation in the second Test was also in doubt. The second test match begins on Saturday for which he is now available. The first test match ended in a draw.

“Faheem has tested negative in further tests and has joined the team meaning he is now available for the second test,” a Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) spokesperson was quoted as saying by Reuters. Reuters news agency.

Australia did well with the bat in the first Test match of the series. But, weren’t able to deliver as well as they would have liked with the ball. They couldn’t get rid of the Pakistani batters which allowed the hosts to post a big score in the first inning. It will be interesting to see how they do in the second test match as the two teams face off in Karachi from Saturday.
