Paddy Pimblett steps up in competition as his opponent for UFC London on July 23 is confirmed
UFC star Paddy Pimblett will return to the Octagon on July 23 at London’s O2 Arena, the MMA promotion confirmed earlier today.
‘The Baddy’ will face American fighter Jordan Leavitt on the second UK fight card of the year which will also feature Tom Aspinall, Darren Till and Molly McCann.
Pimblett looks set to become a superstar after picking up first-round stoppage victories in his first two UFC fights.
The 27-year-old made his promotional debut last year against Luigi Vendramini and had to survive early adversity before claiming a knockout victory.
Earlier this year, Pimblett was cracked early again, this time against Kazula Vargas, whom he quickly rallied to submit in just over three minutes.
Due to an accidental leak from UFC President Dana White, Pimblett was originally linked to a fight with undefeated knockout artist Ottman Aziatar, but for some reason that fight didn’t happen. .
The Liverpudlian will instead face 26-year-old Dana White Contender Series alum Leavitt, who is 10-1 and has won three of his first four UFC fights.
