Packers’ Jordan Love keeps it brief when discussing relationship with Aaron Rodgers

That’s all the love between the Packers quarterbacks.

With Aaron Rodgers out of the first two – and likely all three – days of the Packers’ mandatory minicamp, 2020 first-round pick Jordan Love got all the first-team shots.

But more interesting than his play has been the relationship between him and Rodgers, which has been a mystery since he was drafted. Love shared a glimpse into the relationship between the two passers-by on Wednesday, keeping it short and to the point.

“Obviously me and Aaron have a good relationship,” he said. “I spoke to him probably about a week before I got out of here.

Certainly, staying behind the league’s MVP for a year had its perks, which Love confirmed.

“I mean, it was awesome. Not many people say they can tell they were sitting behind the league MVP. Being behind him I got to learn a lot, see a lot of different things and just see where is his game. “

Love said he was just as surprised by Rodgers’ no-show camp as he was by the members of the media in attendance.

In the past, Rodgers has had nothing but good things to say about Love, although the reigning League MVP has been outspoken about his displeasure at passing on a receiver with Green’s first-round selection. Bay in 2020.

Love’s comments during camp are some of the first the NFL world has heard since he was selected last year. With a red-shirt year in the NFL under his belt, Love had a rough first day at camp but was blown away on his second, which is normal for a young quarterback getting his first legitimate shot at the start.

When Rodgers was drafted to replace Brett Favre, the relationship between the two was frosty. While details of Love and Rodgers’ partnership are still scarce, at least it appears to be on an upward trend.
