Over 300 flight cancellations at Chicago airports despite winter storm warning – CBS Chicago
CHICAGO (CBS)– After heavy rain and snow on the way to Chicago, airlines on Thursday canceled hundreds of flights at O’Hare and Midway airports.
As of 5:45 a.m., 192 flights were canceled at O’Hare and 131 flights were canceled at Midway.
Delays at both airports average more than 15 minutes.
A wet morning is ahead with an icy mix turning to snow.
First Alert Weather models show snow totals in Chicago range from 2 to 6 inches, but the heaviest snow falls in the south with between 4 and 8 inches of snow forecast. End of the snow around 9 or 10 p.m.
