Oregon athletics teacher and coach arrested for sexual abuse and incest

Oregon substitute teacher Sean Kenneth Fuller was arrested last week on charges of sexual abuse and incest. Fuller worked as a substitute teacher and athletics coach at Talent Middle School in the Phoenix Talent School District in southern Oregon.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) said Fuller was charged with five sex crimes – four counts of second-degree sexual abuse and one count of incest.

“A grand jury today indicted a Talent Middle School substitute teacher and athletic trainer on five counts of sex crimes,” the Jackson County Sheriff’s Office said in a Facebook post on Tuesday. “The crimes are not related to his position within the school.”

“The suspect, Sean Kenneth Fuller, 44, of Medford, has been charged with four counts of second degree sexual abuse and one count of incest,” the sheriff’s office added.

Fuller is currently being held in Jackson County Jail on $300,000 bond.

The Jackson County Sheriff’s Office went on to say that “detectives and a Talent Police Department officer arrested Fuller at Talent Middle School on April 6 at approximately 3:30 p.m..”

“At this time, there are no indications that there are any other victims,” the sheriff’s office added.

The arrest comes just a day before a Florida high school history teacher was arrested for having a sexual correspondence with two female students, aged 18 and 14, and allegedly assaulting the 14-year-old at school, according to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office (CPSO).

The PCSO arrested Derek Stribling, 39, on Thursday after being made aware of his sexually explicit messages. Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd noted that Stribling is a history teacher, dean of students, basketball coach and life management coach at Crossroads Christian School in Lakeland, Florida.
