OpenAI employees threaten to quit unless board resigns after firing Sam Altman as CEO

Major investors were still pushing to re-enter Sam Altman to his role as CEO at OpenAI as the future of the artificial intelligence business remained in jeopardy.

Talks continued Monday as much of OpenAI’s staff threatened to resign if the board did not restore Altman to power, according to a person familiar with the matter. Meanwhile, OpenAI’s rivals were making public overtures to all disgruntled employees of the startup behind viral chatbot ChatGPT.
