Opelika middle school teacher arrested in sex crimes case involving student

OPELIKA, Alabama (WRBL) – A teacher from Opelika middle school has been arrested in connection with a sex crimes investigation.

Opelika Police Department officials say Caleb Daniel Fuller, 36, was arrested and charged with electronic solicitation of a child, sexual contact with a student, and luring a child somewhere in order to accomplish or to propose sexual acts.

Police say Fuller was arrested on April 28, 2022. He has been placed on administrative leave.

Police say the charges against Fuller relate to an incident involving a student at Opelika Middle School.

Police said schools in the city of Opelika are cooperating fully with the investigation into the incident.
