One-year-old dead, three others hospitalized after incident at daycare

A 1-year-old child has died and three other youngsters have been hospitalized after an incident at a New York daycare, according to reports.

A 2-year-old boy is in very critical condition, while another 2-year-old boy and an 8-month-old girl are both in stable condition.

The 1-year-old boy was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident, Divino Nino Daycare in the Bronx, New York police said.

The infants were found unresponsive by facility staff, who called 911. When EMS first responders arrived, they found two infants in cardiac arrest and called the FDNY for backup, CBS News reported .

The FDNY tested for a carbon monoxide leak and determined that was not the cause.
