An unfortunate act of violence occurred in Tambo (Cauca), where Two minors and one adult were injured on Wednesday, after the detonation of an explosive device in this area of ​​the country where a wave of violence has been recorded since the beginning of 2022, where there is a dispute between illegal armed groups over drug trafficking routes.

Through its official Twitter account, the Army’s Third Division reported that the attack would have been perpetrated by a dissidence of the extinct FARC.

“The command (…) rejects the terrorist actions of the residual organized armed group Carlos Patiño, against the civilian population in Tambo (Cauca). We will continue with military operations until we find those responsible for this criminal act.”They posted on the social network.

In the public television news program RTVC Noticias, they pointed out that after the attack Two minors and one adult were injured after the explosion that took place near a gas station. and several houses.

In that communication medium they indicated that, according to the testimonies of the residents, there were delays on the part of the authorities to deactivate the explosives.

On the RCN Radio station They consulted with some of the inhabitants of the municipality, who reiterated that there were delays on the part of the Public Force to go to the place, since after the explosion, they found another element that was presumed to be another device.

“In a few minutes an artifact has just exploded and now we find another one connected to a cable, we have been there for a long time and neither the police nor the army are present, we are afraid and there is no action by the authorities,” said one of the witnesses.

The wounded were taken to care centers in Cauca where they are recovering from the injuries caused by the explosion.

Starting this month, in the rural area of ​​the municipality, the homicide of three indigenous community members was reported, among whom was a minor. First, two of them were killed, who belonged to the Alto del Rey reservation in that municipality of Cauca, and who had just played a soccer game that night.

Along with the bodies, the men left intimidating posters against the indigenous community accusing them of criminal acts and citing the names of other community members who would be military targets..

Subsequently, on February 4, the indigenous and community leader Ovidio Alimeza Llantén was assassinated when he was going to the funeral of the two indigenous people mentioned above. Alimeza Llantén was accompanied by his relatives, however, near the place where the funeral was taking place, a man approached the community leader, firing several shots at him and leaving the place in a truck that could not be identified.

Eln explosives deactivated in southern Bolívar

The south of Bolívar is another of the areas that are added to those affected by the recent wave of violence in the country, where several explosive devices were deactivated last Monday by the Army in the rural area of ​​the municipality of Santa Rosa del Sur. and that they were abandoned together with ELN emblems.

In the newspaper El Universal de Cartagena they reported that members of the Public Force came to that place and activated the charges in a controlled manner, thus avoiding civilians being injured or material damage being caused in the municipality.
