OlliOlli, Kerbal Space Program Teams Shut Down by GTA Publisher

Roll7 OlliOlli World

Take-Two will close OlliOlli World and Rollerdrome studio Roll7 as well as Kerbal space program team Intercept Games as it seeks to cut 5% of its workforce. The news was revealed by Bloomberg after the outlet obtained documents indicating that Roll7 would close its doors and offer severance deals to staff. Meanwhile, notice has been filed with the Washington State Department of Employment Security to close a Seattle office, where Intercept Games is based.

Both developers fall under the Private Division label – which is owned by Take-Two – and it appears that layoffs have affected that company as well.

The news follows Take-Two’s confirmation that it plans to lay off 600 full-time workers to save $165 million a year, which was shared a few weeks ago. And this is despite the billions and billions of dollars earned from the GTA series.
