Olivia Rodrigo didn’t just love early fashion – she was also a fan of the ultimate style icon of the time, Paris Hilton.
The “Drivers License” singer enlisted the superstar socialite to DJ her 2022 Grammys after-party, and dressed for the occasion in a plunging blue Y2K-inspired mini by Blumarine.
With its halter neckline, asymmetrical ruffled hemline and sparkling butterflies, the look was strikingly similar to the one Hilton wore to her 21st birthday party in 2002.
But far from vintage, Rodrigo’s dress was custom-made by Blumarine’s creative director, Nicola Brognano, and styled by sisters Chloe and Chenelle Delgadillo.
Rodrigo – who picked up three awards on Sunday, including best new artist – joined Hilton in the DJ booth under a screen that read “baby’s first grammys”.
The ‘Simple Life’ star, who wore a lime-colored sequined Dundas dress ($4,490), then serenaded the 19-year-old sensation with her 2006 hit, ‘Stars Are Blind,’ with Rodrigo at the choirs.
“ily @parishilton,” the teenage queen captioned photos from the party on Instagram Monday night, in part, with Hilton commenting, “So proud of you beautiful. Best time to celebrate with you last night!! »
Adding to the throwback vibe, the “Good 4 U” crooner rocked a Pamela Anderson-inspired updo at his party, courtesy of celebrity hairstylist Clayton Hawkins.
The beauty pro, who used a $7 Dove hair serum to get the look, was also behind Rodrigo’s beauty queen curls on the red carpet, which she paired with a figure-framing Vivienne Westwood dress , opera gloves and a pair of necklaces.
Petra Collins photographed the after-party, and Rodrigo’s BFFs Iris Apatow, Lydia Night of The Regrettes and Disney actress Madison Hu were all in attendance.
When Rodrigo sang “She Probably Gives You Butterflies,” she may have been referring to an ex’s new girlfriend, but she might as well have been talking about her perfect party look.
