Officials Open First Dual-Brand Marriott in North Alabama

MADISON, Ala. (WHNT) — Officials opened the first dual-brand Marriott in northern Alabama on Wednesday.

A groundbreaking ceremony was held Wednesday afternoon at the future location of The Courtyard and Residence Inn by Marriott in Town Madison.

Several community leaders, including Madison Mayor Paul Finley and Madison County Commission Chairman Dale Strong, as well as executives from the Dunn Hospitality Group took part in the groundbreaking.

Dunn Hospitality president says Huntsville is the perfect place to grow his business.

“It has all the right ingredients for success,” said David Dunn, president of Dunn Hospitality Group. “He’s got visionary leadership, he’s got great infrastructure, he’s got an incredible talent pool, great quality of life.”

“It’s just a perfect, perfect place for us to drive a stake into the ground,” Dunn continued.

The hotel will be located across from J. Alexander’s on Stadium Way in Town Madison.
