Two baby ospreys were rescued from under a fallen tree on Tuesday. Maryland Department of Natural Resources Police Officer First Class Lopez rescued the two birds after a call that they were in distress. Apparently, a tree containing the two baby ospreys fell due to a storm, resulting in the destruction of their nest. Unfortunately, the birds were unable to fly due to heavy rain. The officer secured the birds safely. They were taken to a local wildlife clinic for treatment.
