KL RahulDe’s struggle with the bat has been a concern for the Indian team in 2022. The batter has scored 251 ODI runs in 10 games with an average of 27.88 and a batting rate of 80.19 in 2022. Plus, he was sent to bat at No.4 in the ODI series against Bangladesh and that may be an indicator that the team management isn’t eyeing him for the top spot.

“Given the kind of success that Ishan Kishan has had at the top of the order, which means KL Rahul will have to fight for a spot in the playing XI, and so I think KL Rahul may not do not part of the playing XI. in cricket over 50 at the moment,” Bangar told ESPNCricinfo

“Hardik Pandya’s career chart in regards to his captaincy is quite good because the way he led his team to the IPL championship was fabulous. So that meant that in the longer term he would be a serious contender for take over the reins from Rohit Sharma whenever the situation arises,” Bangar explained.
