Oasis: Liam and Noel Gallagher confirm 2025 tour with dates in Manchester, London and Dublin

Oasis have announced their long-awaited reunion tour, 15 years after the infamous backstage altercation between brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher.

The Manchester-based band, one of the iconic rock groups of the 90s, split in 2009 after a violent argument in Paris and have not played together since.

In a highly anticipated announcement, the band announced a series of 14 shows in the UK and Ireland next summer.

“The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised,” the group said.

The Cardiff, Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin dates will be Oasis’ “only European shows next year”, it has been confirmed. Find details on how to get tickets here.

There have been plenty of hints in recent months, including a surprise interview last week in which Noel praised his younger brother. Since their split, both he and Liam have enjoyed successful solo careers: Liam as a singer-songwriter and Noel with his band, the High Flying Birds.

John Lennon once said that The Beatles were “more popular than Jesus.” A controversial statement, perhaps, but is it really true that Oasis’ return will be bigger than Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour frenzy? One music expert thinks so:

Oasis ticket demand will ‘eclipse’ Taylor Swift’s, music expert says

Demand for Oasis reunion tickets will be “absolutely dwarfed” by Taylor Swift’s tour, a music expert has claimed. Noel and Liam Gallagher look set to announce a highly anticipated, shock reunion tour on Tuesday 27 August, 15 years after the brothers’ famous falling out put the band on hiatus. If they do announce a comeback, former music journalist and DJ Kevin McManus believes the fight for tickets will be bigger than any artist has ever experienced. “Taylor Swift is obviously the big thing of the summer, but I think she’s going to absolutely dwarf that,” he told ITV News.

Manchester promises ‘citywide party’ to celebrate Oasis reunion

She told the PA news agency: “I think Oasis are one of the most iconic bands to come out of Manchester in the modern era, and obviously we’ve been working hard behind the scenes to make sure that can happen and that they can play Manchester in a fantastic homecoming gig.

“And I think it’s really, really great. It’s great for the city, the city has changed a lot since Oasis last got together, hopefully it’ll be significantly for the better on the world stage, but we’ll still be very happy to welcome the two Burnage boys as they get together and reunite at Heaton Park (run by the council).”

She added: “I think the whole city will be excited about next summer, and I think we’ll definitely see a lot of events and activities that will add to that and I think will really celebrate it for the moment.

“So I think we’ll make sure we have a good party all over town for people to enjoy.”

Fans concerned about Oasis ticket prices and sustainability of reconciliation

He said: “You wonder if they’re going to make it through the tour, how are they going to rehearse? There have been so many little infractions with them, you wonder if the old stuff is going to resurface.”

“But no, ultimately, at the moment, it’s very positive and yes, that’s what people want. That’s probably what Britain wants at the moment because everyone’s pretty depressed and hasn’t got a lot of money.
