NYPD offers $3,500 reward to Queens suspect

The New York Police Department is offering a $3,500 reward for the identification of a Queens suspect.

NYPD 115th Precinct Police responded to the March 18 assault in the Broadway and 73rd Street area around 10 p.m. ET and discovered a 26-year-old man with facial injuries.

The unidentified male suspect is accused of “slicing” the victim in the face with a knife he took from an unattended food cart during an “argument” with the victim, according to the NYPD.

He then allegedly fled on foot, heading west on Broadway, before police arrived.

Authorities transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where he remained in stable condition.

The 115th district has so far recorded 94 criminal assaults in 2022 compared to 66 in the same period last year, which represents an increase of more than 42%. Total crime in New York jumped 38.5% in the first month of 2022.
