NYC tot falls to death from 29th floor balcony, cops say

A 3-year-old boy died Saturday after falling from the 29th-floor balcony of an apartment building in Harlem, police said.

The tragic incident happened around 11:10 a.m. in a skyscraper on Third Avenue between East 122nd and 123rd Streets, the NYPD said.

The child fell from the 29th floor of a building in the Taino Towers residential complex and landed on scaffolding on the fifth floor, a department spokesperson said.

Police say the boy was pronounced dead at 11.31am

The boy was rushed to Harlem Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:31 a.m., the NYPD said.

Preliminary reports indicate the child’s fall was accidental, police said.
