The capital’s president pointed out that with the expansion of the Suburban Train route, it will seek to relieve the main road that connects CDMX with the capital of Hidalgo.

So far it is unknown when the construction of the new section that will link Buenavista with Pachuca will begin and if this will delay the start of operations of the new Suburban Train route, which was scheduled to begin service in the second half of 2023.
The expansion of this railway network was proposed as a way to solve connectivity problems between the capital and the new airport, with an initial investment of 25 billion pesos. However, with the idea put forward by Sheinbaum, it could also reduce traffic congestion on the Mexico-Pachuca highway.
