Northern Lights forecast for Sunday night, where and when to see them

If you missed the recent aurora over the past couple of days, you may have another chance. The sun will continue to send more activity to Earth Sunday evening and into the beginning of the week.

A series of very rapid solar flares is expected to hit Earth early Sunday night, triggering a new round of severe to extreme geomagnetic storms, according to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration. Sunday should offer the best chance to view the Northern Lights before this period of solar activity diminishes.
