Northampton stabbing: Two teenagers charged with murder of 16-year-old Rohan Shand | UK News

Two teenagers have been charged with the murder of a 16-year-old boy who was stabbed to death earlier this week.

Rohan Shandknown to family and friends as Fred, died following the incident near the Cock Hotel in Harborough Road, Kingsthorpe at around 3.35pm on Wednesday March 22.

Specialized officers are supporting Rohan’s family who have been “devastated” by the tragedy.

Two boys, aged 16 and 14, both from Northampton, will appear at Northampton Magistrates’ Court this morning charged with murder.

They cannot be named for legal reasons.

Police say a 49-year-old man and a 21-year-old man from Northampton who were arrested in connection with Fred’s death have both been released without further action.

Officers would still like to speak to witnesses, anyone with information, or anyone with CCTV, doorbell or dash cam in the area at the time.
