North Dakota House votes to ban gender pronouns in school

The North Dakota House passed a bill banning the use of preferred pronouns that don’t match someone’s gender in public schools and state agencies.
The legislation, which had already been passed by the North Dakota State Senate, was approved by the house by a vote of 60 to 32. The legislation now awaits a signature from Gov. Doug Burgum, a Republican.
In April 2021, Burgum vetoed legislation this would have prohibited men from competing in women’s sports. Burgum, however, has not publicly stated whether or not he supports this legislation to prevent the use of incorrect pronouns.
The effort in North Dakota comes as a long list of other states are taking legal and policy action to challenge gender ideology and defend children against transgender propaganda.
In Missouri, Attorney General Andrew Bailey issued emergency regulations on medical interventions for gender dysphoric children, such as puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones and sex reassignment surgeries. Bailey said Breitbart News that he is going “on the attack” and will leave “nothing to chance” in defending children against left-wing gender ideology “disguised as medicine”.
Meanwhile, in neighboring Tennessee, Governor Bill Lee recently sign legislation prohibiting sex reassignment operations, cross-sex hormone treatment and puberty blockers for minors. He also signed a law banning drag shows on public property and in the presence of children.
In Kentucky, State House lawmakers passed a bill prohibiting medical professionals from attempting to medically transfer minors, which “require an investigation into any reports of providing gender transition services to anyone under the age of 18” and also “demanding the revocation of the provider’s license if confirmed and the end of public funding for a public employee”.
Meanwhile, the Iowa State Senate pass legislation that prohibits students from using toilets that do not match their biological sex. Additionally, Wyoming recently became the 19th state to to forbid women’s sports men.
