The show host discussed how President Biden made headlines on Tuesday for calling Vladimir Putin’s actions in Ukraine “genocide.” After playing a clip of the president defending his choice of words to the press, Benson recalled that this wasn’t the first time the White House has sent mixed messages about the war in Ukraine this week alone.

“Zelenskyy phoned Biden and basically begged for these helicopters. I mean, Biden had just said there was genocide going on, and they cut back on what they planned to help in terms of fighting the genocide, militarily. And then after that phone call between the two leaders, I guess now the helicopters are back in the package,” Benson told Haley.

The show’s host wondered if she was also concerned about “inconsistent” messaging and “flipping” from the White House.

Haley said it seemed there was a miscommunication and also blamed “bureaucracy”.

“Well, it seems obvious that the different agencies don’t talk to each other,” she said. “I think it’s genocide. Every time you try to eliminate the existence of a people, it’s genocide. And again, it shows that the bureaucracy takes the time to define it as such. “, she noted.

The former diplomat then blamed the White House for forcing Zelensky to “beg” for help.

“What bothers me is why does Zelenskyy have to beg for anything?” she asked.

She stressed the importance of sending aid to Ukraine and rallying our allies to win this war, for global security and freedom.

“It’s not just a war with Ukraine. It’s a war for freedom, it’s a war we have to win. If we win this war, Putin and all the other thugs won’t even start again. So we have to win and win big in this fight for freedom,” she said.

But she said Putin would continue to be successful in killing Ukrainians as long as the Biden administration refuses to impose tougher sanctions on Russian energy companies.

“If you look at last year’s revenue figures that Putin received for energy and if you look at this year, naturally, it’s through the roof,” she noted.

Along with sending Ukraine all the equipment they need, Haley also pushed the Biden administration to crack down on Germany for “comforting” with Russia by reaching its Nord Stream 2 deal in 2018.

“I think it’s time to really put the hammer on Germany and say, ‘You know what?

All of Europe should end its dependence on Russian energy, Haley argued, and the United States should be there to help them do so.
