Nicola Sturgeon’s husband arrested again in Scottish National Party financial probe – POLITICO
LONDON — Peter Murrell, husband of former Scottish First Minister Nicola Sturgeon and former chief executive of the Scottish National Party, has been arrested for the second time as part of a years-long investigation into the ruling party’s finances.
In a press release published Thursday eveningPolice Scotland said a 59-year-old man had been “re-arrested as part of the ongoing investigation into the funding and finances of the Scottish National Party”.
Police said he was taken into custody at 9:13 a.m. and at the time of his statement he was still being questioned by officers.
