“I just wanted to remind everyone that I’m pretty good,” Kyrgios said with a blank expression as he was interviewed on the pitch after the match, making the All England Club crowd laugh.

“I love that you just said that with a straight face as well,” the interviewer said.

“No smile?”

The impetuous Australian kept his cool.

“No,” he said, refusing to let a smile interrupt his serious demeanor.

Kyrgios widened the performance gap between his first and second rounds.

“Obviously the nerves. Just getting over the line in that first round was huge. I’ve been playing good tennis over the last month so I was really surprised (at) how I played the other day. It wasn’t great,” Kyrgios said.

“But there were a lot of positives. I didn’t play at my best and I was successful, and today I was obviously a bit in my zone. Just great body language, just played well. “

Kyrgios surprised Krajinović with 24 aces and 50 winners.

The 27-year-old also recorded a winning percentage of 93 on first serves.

“It was one of the best focused performances I’ve seen from Nick in Grand Slam tennis,” Todd Woodbridge said on Stan Sport’s coverage.

“Well, he served well today…he just managed to hit all of his spots.”
