NFL Insider gives latest update on Aaron Rodgers’ future

After a disappointing and frustrating 2022 season, all eyes are on Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and what he will do in the future.
There has been speculation he could be traded to another team, but Rodgers now admits he’s not even sure he wants to play another season.
According to NFL reporter Rob Demosky, the 39-year-old plans to hunker down for several days and figure out what would be best for him.
Rodgers said he hasn’t even decided whether he will play in 2023 yet.
“That’s why I think it will be important to get through this week and retire from isolation and consider everything about my future.”
He called it a “dark retreat” for four nights alone.

After losing in the Divisional Round of the NFL playoffs last year to the San Francisco 49ers, the Packers entered similar uncertainty last season.
Rodgers demanded a new contract, which he received, but star receiver Davante Adams was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders, and many blamed Rodgers and his demands for making it financially necessary for the team to dump arguably the best off the game.
Without Adams, the Packers offense looked anemic for much of this season, and despite a late surge that put them in contention for a playoff spot, they ultimately failed to claim one.
Recently, the hot rumor is that Rodgers would like to go to Las Vegas and reunite with Adams.
The Raiders happen to be on the hunt for a new QB after deciding to part ways with Derek Carr after, like the Packers, having a down year.
Rodgers’ numbers have dropped somewhat this season, and maybe he can’t single-handedly carry a team like he could just a few years ago, but he could still be an attractive fit, although temporary, for a team.
That is, if he even wants to dress at all in 2023.
