Next Man United manager odds: Valverde, Pochettino and Ten Hag linked
E

mnesto Valverde, Mauricio Pochettino and Erik ten Hag are just a few of the names linked to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s succession as Manchester United’s next manager.

The Red Devils face Villarreal on Tuesday in a massive Champions League group game before a move to Premier League leaders Chelsea and a clash with Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal.

The current favorite is Paris Saint-Germain boss Mauricio Pochettino, following early support from former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane.

Leicester’s Brendan Rodgers follows closely despite only stepping away from work last week.

He said: “Firstly, it’s really disrespectful of you to ask the question when you have a manager in place, a good manager and a good man, who works for the club.

“Secondly, I can’t really comment on it because it’s something that isn’t real. I’m here as Leicester City manager, I’m proud to be here, privileged to be here and fully committed towards the players, the club, the property.

Ernesto Valverde has entered the minds of bookmakers after reports emerged that the former Barcelona manager had talks with United and was on a list of five candidates who will be targeted if Pochettino refuses the job.

Ajax are, unlike United, already qualified for the knockout stages of the Champions League and Erik ten Hag’s impressive work in Amsterdam has placed him in the top.

Former Red Devils defender Laurent Blanc, currently boss of Al-Rayyan in Qatar, also tops bookmakers’ estimates.

Next odds of the next permanent manager of Man United:

Mauricio Pochettino – 08/15
