New York motorist stabbed after minor car crash in midtown Manhattan

A man stabbed the driver of another car after being involved in a minor car accident in Midtown on Friday night, police said.

Two vehicles collided in front of 460 West 42nd Street near Ninth Avenue just after 8:45 p.m., cops said.

After the collision, a passenger in the first vehicle, described as a man in his 30s, got out and stabbed the 52-year-old driver of the second vehicle three times, police said.

He then jumped into the vehicle – a Subaru driven by a woman in her 30s – and fled towards 10th Avenue, police said.

The victim was transported to Bellevue Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
