The streaming platform has “quietly dropped” the “Pearl” cartoon, the tentatively named project the Duchess of Sussex had been developing under Archewell Productions, which she established with Prince Harry. The Los Angeles Times confirmed this decision.
The family series, which Markle produced with David Furnish, centered on a 12-year-old girl influenced by powerful women throughout history.
“Like many girls her age, our heroine Pearl is on a journey of self-discovery as she tries to navigate life’s daily changes,” Markle said in Summer 2021.
Sources told Deadline that Archewell’s documentary series “Heart of Invictus” is still “percolating” on Netflix.
