Nashville man arrested for threatening to “shoot” at school | New

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) – Metro police arrested a Nashville man for threatening to “shoot” Wright College on Monday.

Police accused Osama Awali of making a threat against a school employee.

Police said Awali was upset her daughter couldn’t transfer schools. So Awali called MNPS customer service to complain and told the caller he would show up and physically hit the principal. Police said Awali then said he “might as well shoot the spot.”

Officers responded to Wright Middle School the next morning. When Awali arrived to drop off his daughter, the officers took him into custody. Awali told police he had an angry temper but did not intend to “shoot the school”.
