Nancy Pelosi uses hand gesture to describe Kevin McCarthy
Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) let her fingers do the talking Wednesday as she described what’s happening to House Speaker Kevin McCarthy (R-Cal.).
Pelosi criticized McCarthy for opening an impeachment inquiry against President Joe Biden, which she said was part of a deal he made with extremists in his party that requires him to give in to their demands or to risk losing the hammer.
“You have to impeach the president, otherwise we are going to leave the office of president. You have to shut down the government, otherwise we are going to vacate the position of Speaker of Parliament,” she told CNN’s Anderson Cooper. “It’s not responsible governance, but it’s chaos on the Republican side.”
Cooper asked if that put McCarthy in an “impossible situation.”
“Yeah,” Pelosi agreed, calling it “the incredibly small number of presidents.”
