Nancy Pelosi reveals transactions on Apple and Microsoft

PBefore the start of the 2022 Apple Worldwide Development Conference (WWDC), Nancy Pelosi and her husband bought 150 Apple call options ($AAPL, NYSE) at a strike price of $80, 100 of which expire on 03/17/2023 and 50 of which expire on 06/16/2023 (you can read more on call and put options here)!

Pelosi, a Democrat, is currently Speaker of the United States House of Representatives in California. Pelosi is one of the most notable insider traders in Congress whose trading portfolio often dwarfs the S&P 500 ($SPY, NYSEARCA).

During the first day of Apple’s WWDC, Apple announced many new features for its users, including a updated M2 computer chip for its new MacBook Air, a renovated Apple Car Play and changes to iMessage texts.

She also disclosed the purchase of Microsoft call options ($MSFT, NASDAQ) at a strike price of $180 with an expiration date also of 06/16/2023.

Democrats and Republicans engage in insider trading, giving them an unfair advantage over the retail trader and disrupting policy decisions. You can follow the politicians’ exchanges here on the Unusual Whales website.
