My opponent Bob Casey is a “buffer” for the Biden agenda

Democratic Sen. Bob Casey (D-PA) is “a rubber stamp for Joe Biden’s agenda,” said Republican Senate candidate David McCormick. Breitbart News Saturdayexplaining why he chose to participate in the race.

“The motivation for running for Senate is really the belief that the country is going in the wrong direction,” he said, pointing the finger directly at President Biden’s leadership and policies. McCormick’s Democratic opponent, Sen. Casey, has supported Biden’s agenda “every step of the way,” serving as what McCormick described as “a rubber stamp for Joe Biden’s agenda.”

McCormick outlined some of the key issues, pointing to the pace of decline as the country struggles with inflation, crime, a border crisis and weakness abroad.

“The Inflation Reduction Act, which I like to call the Inflation Creation Act, is a big driver,” he said, explaining that massive spending “drives inflation up “. Senator Casey, he continued, has supported Biden’s economic agenda “every step of the way.”

McCormick also laid out the sad state of affairs on other issues, pointing out the connection between Biden’s bad policies and Casey’s unwavering support for them.

“I could go on and on. Home energy, energy dependence, all sorts of issues, but the bottom line is under Joe Biden the country is going in a terrible direction and Pennsylvanians are suffering. And they have a guy in there person of Bob Casey, who has truly been a buffer for Joe Biden. Ninety-eight percent of the time.” Casey voted with Biden, he said, noting that this is particularly significant, as Casey previously criticized then-Sen. Rick Santorum for voting with former President Bush the vast majority of the time.

“He was running against an incumbent senator, and he made the argument that the senator…was voting in lockstep with the president,” he said, noting that “Pennsylvanians are notoriously independent.”

Pennsylvania voters, he continued, do not want a Republican or a Democrat who simply serves as a yes-man for the president.

“With Bob Casey, you have two problems. First, he is the senior senator from one of the most important states in the country, one of the largest economies. It’s a battleground state. This is a harbinger of what is happening in the country. And literally – and I don’t know, I’m not exaggerating – he literally didn’t have a single accomplishment,” McCormick said. “We could highlight the legislative successes. There is nothing that Bob Casey is known for in the Commonwealth that is his signature. He hasn’t accomplished anything,” McCormick said, also noting that most Americans think the country is heading in the wrong direction.

This, he continued, “is directly linked to Joe Biden’s failed leadership.”

“And Bob Casey has been with him every step of the way,” he continued, noting that Casey has no prior record but has been a “Washington creature” for 17 years.

A recent National Public Affairs investigation found that Casey was trailing a wild card Republican candidate in the Keystone State.

“He’s a career politician and I’m going to go to the voters and make my case (which), you know, is successful in Pennsylvania. A kid who grew up in rural Pennsylvania. I had the opportunity to go to West Point, serve my country, and then come back and, you know, help create a great company that created hundreds of jobs. And that’s the contrast. It’s a contrast to the status quo,” he said. “If you want the status quo, vote for Bob Casey. If you want more of Biden’s failed policies, vote for Bob Casey.

“If you want to make a difference, you want someone who is going to fight for the people of Pennsylvania, someone who believes in everything that is great about America and believes that our best days are yet to come, but only if we elect leaders who are going to fight for these good principles, that is the case,” he continued, expressing the belief that Casey is vulnerable. However, he does not “underestimate the magnitude of this challenge.”

“Democrats are going to do everything they can to win this Senate seat. (Senate Majority Leader) Chuck Schumer is going to invest unlimited amounts of money into it,” he said, explaining that there was “a big hill to climb.”

“I think our cause is right here. We want great leadership for America and a great senator who will go out and fight for Pennsylvanians, and I think we haven’t been — we Pennsylvanians haven’t been properly represented,” he said. -he continued.

McCormick, who lost his Senate primary battle to Mehmet Oz last election cycle, noted that he has had “my share of failures” in his life, but “that failure and the resilience to overcome it , getting up and shaking, shaking off, learning from your mistakes and moving forward” is “what leaders do.”
