Music, food and more: Here’s what you can do at BottleRock Napa Valley 2023 this weekend

NAPA VALLEY, Calif. (KGO) — BottleRock Napa Valley, the three-day music and food festival, kicks off this weekend.

The range includes Lizzo, Post Malone, Duran Duran and many more.

But there are other experiences you can have at the festival, like the food and wine scene.

There’s even a spa where you can get a massage, intravenous hydration or haircut.

In addition, there are unique bars. One is even hidden inside a portable pot. Once inside, it’s actually a speakeasy.

The Monkey Shoulder Whiskey portable bar will host DJs, people will dance and it will just be one big party. It will be decorated with plants.

Part of the fun is figuring out where it is and which porta potty is actually a bar.

“And if you’re lucky enough to open that door and step inside, we have DJs spinning throughout the three days of the festival,” said Anna Mains of Monkey Shoulder.

“We have some really cool queues. They keep them as a surprise. So you never know who you’re going to see when you walk in. But I can say this year I think I’m most excited about a few -some of the guys that we’ve confirmed. So you can see some of the people who shoot on the big stages sometimes come to this intimate little space. We have great cocktails.

This will be Monkey Shoulder Whiskey’s third year with the speakeasy there.

They plan to take this speakeasy to other festivals, but now they only do it at BottleRock.

Hendrick’s Gin will have a three-story bar at the festival. They will have special cocktails, as well as a floral photo wall and giveaways.

Other experiences unique to BottleRock include a cannabis-inspired lounge, a wellness experience with music, meditation and sound healing, a food scene, a silent disco activity and a musical event for children.

The California Highway Patrol says attendees should anticipate an increase in Napa Valley traffic. Several roads will have restrictions from 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. near Napa Valley Expo. Please allow extra travel time and be aware of foot traffic.

BottleRock kicks off Friday, May 26 and ends Sunday, May 28.
