Morocco already qualified for the final phase

Morocco became this Friday the first selection to qualify for the next African Cup of Nations. This qualification comes after the failure of the South African selection (2-2) against Liberia in the Group K qualifiers this evening at the Orlando stadium in Johannesburg.

The Moroccan football team has renamed itself for the final phase of the Africa Cup of Nations (CAN Côte d’Ivoire-2023), at the end of the draw between South Africa and Liberia on behalf of Group K, Friday evening at the Orlando stadium, at Johannesburg.

The two selections thus win their first points, while Morocco is at the top of this group with 6 points.

The Moroccan selection had beaten South Africa (2-1) and Liberia (2-0), during the two previous days of this group which has only three selections.

South Africa and Liberia will meet in Monrovia on Tuesday. The Moroccan selection will play two other matches for this group, the first away to South Africa on June 12 and the second at home against Liberia on September 4.
