At a press conference and accompanied by Paola Paintedsubstitute representative of Morena before the Electoral Institute of Mexico City (IECM), Pliego Calvo demanded that the Attorney General’s Office (FGJ) and Secretariat of the Comptroller General (SCG) from the capital investigate the mayor elected by the Coalition “Goes for Mexico” (PAN, PRI and PRD).
And it is that since he protested in October 2021, Cuevas Nieves has incurred in a series of controversies and irregularitieswhich have resulted, so far, in nine complaints before these agencies.
“This attitude of the mayor in Cuauhtémoc, does not stop surprising locals and strangers. Now, the last thing she did was the issue of the balls or red balloons with the bills, since it has been a source of grief for others. There are already nine complaints that deputies, councilors and Morena himself have presented and the tenth will be added next week “
For her part, the head of government of CDMX, claudia sheinbaumcriticized the act that has been denied by the mayor of Cuauhtémoc, which was documented in videos and corroborated by those attending the event, assuring that It is unknown if the SCG has already started an investigation folder about.
“I had never seen anything like it […] These are practices that should not exist. Politics must be exalted, public service must be exalted, not lowered “
Regarding the case of the complaint against Cuevas for aggression presented by commanders of the Auxiliary Policethe morenista president assured that “It is not a political issue, this has to do with a matter of justice.”

4. The CDMX prosecutor’s office opened an investigation against him for the crimes of abuse of authority, deprivation of liberty and theftderived from the complaint filed by capital police officers for having been physically and verbally assaulted by the head of the demarcation.
According to the complaint, last Friday, February 11, staff from the Cuauhtémoc mayor’s office and the CDMX government had a disagreement for carrying out an operation reorganization of street vendors in Correo Mayor street and Circunvalación of the historic center and on the powers that each authority has for it.
