Morelos Prosecutor’s Office assured the pit bull that attacked a five-year-old child

The State Attorney General’s Office (FGE) of Morelos reported this Tuesday afternoon that the pitbull breed dog that attacked little Zoren Miguel, five years old, in the municipality of Jiutepec, was seized, causing him serious injuries to the head and face.

Through a statement, it was detailed that after obtaining a search warrant from the jurisdictional body at the address where the canine was supposedly located, Criminal Investigation agents from Expert Services and the municipal Collection Center arrived at the property located in the Otilio Montaño neighborhood.

There, specialized personnel sedated the pet to remove it from the place and transfer it to a shelter belonging to a civil association, where it will remain for its care and protection.

The Prosecutor’s Office indicated that it continues with the integration of the investigation folder for the crime of qualified intentional injuries, and the evolution in the health and recovery of the infant is expected, as well as the reclassification of the injuries, which will allow establishing the legal situation of the owner of the animal, identified as Víctor Manuel Alvarado.

For his part, Miguel Cerda, Zoren’s father, informed the newspaper The Union of Morelos He has already undergone surgery and is in serious but stable condition.

He took the opportunity to thank the blood donors and the support of his neighbors.

It is worth mentioning that after the case went viral, on the night of September 11, the victim’s relatives filed a complaint so that the authorities could act accordingly, as they accused that the owner of the pit bull named “Tyson” did not want to take responsibility for the attack and He refused to give up his pet.

However, Víctor Manuel Alvarado wrote on his networks that at no time did he distance himself from his responsibilities and that he was present with the child’s family at the IMSS Plan Ayala Hospital.

In this sense, he assured that he has no intention of fleeing; In addition, she reported alleged threats to him and his family.

The events occurred during the afternoon of Monday, September 11, when the minor and his grandmother were heading home after finishing their day at kindergarten. Suddenly, the dog came out and went straight to the minor’s face.

Immediately, local residents and several people who were in a cheap kitchen came out in order to help Zoren who had scalp detachment.

Given this situation, they requested the help of an ambulance, but none arrived, so the minor was transferred to the IMSS hospital in Plan de Ayala aboard a private vehicle.

In this regard, the municipal president of Jiutepec, Rafael Reyes Reyes, announced that the head of the state IMSS, Angélica Mariel Martínez López, is in communication with him to inform him of Zoren Miguel’s progress.

“I want to share with you that I have personally been in communication with Miguelito’s relatives, to express my support and support. From the Legal Department and Legal Services of the Government of Jiutepec we are providing legal support,” he reported.
