More than 60 people shot dead over weekend in Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s Chicago


More than 60 people were shot, three fatally, over Mayor Lori Lightfoot’s weekend in Chicago (D).

Breitbart News reported that 25 people were shot Friday through Saturday night in the Windy City alone, and one of those 25 victims died of his injuries.

ABC 7 / Chicago Sun-Times said the total number of gunshot victims exceeded 60 on Monday morning, with two additional gunshot deaths.

One of the other fatal shootings occurred at 3:30 a.m. Sunday morning after a 25-year-old man and woman got into an argument “in the 5400 block of South Winchester.” A 37-year-old man tried to stop the man and woman from arguing and the man pulled out a gun and shot the 37-year-old man in the head, killing him.

NBC 5 reported that another fatal shooting occurred around 3:19 a.m. Sunday, when someone walked past a group of people changing a tire and opened fire on them.

A 30-year-old man died at the scene after being shot in the head.

Breitbart News observed that 21 people were shot at Lightfoot’s Chicago last weekend, seven of them fatally.

The Chicago Sun-Times reported that 365 people were killed in Chicago from January 1, 2022 to July 24, 2022.
