Mohamed Salah and Liverpool in negotiations over a new three-year contract

According to Ekrem Konur, Liverpool and Mohamed Salah are in talks over a new three-year contract with the Reds who would offer him £350,000 a week. The Egyptian currently has less than eighteen months on his contract and has been linked with a move to Spain and France.

With Mohamed Salah thriving this season, the focus shifted from Liverpool and Salah’s performances to the Egyptian’s future and his current contract situation. Reports said the striker would be too keen to sign a new contract with the Reds but his asking salary has been beyond what the club were willing to offer. But despite this, negotiations are said to be underway between the two parties, who are trying to reach an agreement.

However, Salah has less than eighteen months left on his current contract which has raised the stakes, although reports have indicated that some of Europe’s biggest clubs are monitoring the situation, although transfer guru Ekrem Konur has reported that Salah wanted to stay at Liverpool. Not only that, the reporter revealed that the Egyptian and the Reds are in talks over a three-year deal with him expected to earn around £350,000-a-week.

But no deal has yet materialized although Konur has reported that both sides believe a deal is on the horizon despite interest from the 29-year-old. Salah caught the eye of Barcelona, real MadridParis Saint-Germain and a few others although nothing has happened yet as the striker has pushed back talks over his future until the end of the season.
