Mississippi woman arrested after allegedly shooting car full of kids with gun


A Gulfport, Mississippi woman was arrested this week after allegedly shooting a gun at a car full of children, according to reports.

The Gulfport Police Department, as reported by FOX 8 in New Orleans, said two women got into a fight Monday night on 6th Avenue.

During the scuffle, one of the women attempted to get into her vehicle and escape with her three children inside.

But the other woman, 22-year-old Labrittani Watts, allegedly pulled out a gun and started shooting at the vehicle.

As Watts fired, the other woman jumped into the path of the vehicle before being run over.

Although the woman was injured when she was run over by her own vehicle, no one was injured by Watts’ gunfire, police said.

Watts was arrested for felony aggravated assault and three counts of aggravated assault – one for each child. She was sentenced to Harrison County Jail and held on $400,000 bond.

The suspect also had arrest warrants for Biloxi and Mobile for charges including use of credit cards with intent to defraud and petty larceny.
