Missing rapper Theophilus London has been found safe, family say

Los Angeles — Rapper Theophilus London was found safe and sound after disappear for monthsannounced a close Wednesday evening.

“We found Theo. He is safe and sound,” the rapper’s cousin, Mikhail Noel, posted on Instagram. “At this time the family would like prayers and privacy. Thank you all!!!”

The post did not provide details of where London was found, where he had gone or why he had not contacted his family, who filed a missing person report with LAPD on last week and asked for the public’s help in locating him.

The Los Angeles Police Department has yet to respond to questions from CBS News about the family’s message.

London’s family and friends had said they believed someone last spoke to the musician in July in Los Angeles.

London, 35, has posted prolifically on Instagram, but her last posts also came in July.

A December 28 Los Angeles Police Department press release said London was last seen in the Skid Row area in October and his family had completely lost contact with him.

The rapper was born in Trinidad and Tobago and later grew up in the Brooklyn neighborhood of New York.

He was nominated for a 2016 Grammy for Best Rap Performance for a featured spot alongside Paul McCartney on Kanye West’s “All Day.”
