Missing New Hampshire couple found fatally shot in nearby hiking area


Authorities are investigating the death of a New Hampshire couple who were found fatally shot days after walking in a hiking area near their home, officials said Friday.

The bodies of Stephen Reid, 67, and Djeswende Reid, 66, were discovered Thursday evening in a wooded area of ​​Concord, police said.

Autopsies later determined the couple died of multiple gunshot wounds and the manner of death was homicide, the attorney general and Concord police chief said in a statement.

According to a press release from the Attorney General’s Office, the Reids left their home on Monday afternoon and went for a walk that took them to the Broken Ground Trails area. Family and friends did not see or hear from them afterward, authorities said, and the couple was reported missing.
