Miner dead, another injured after NH dirt bike crash

A boy has died and another is injured after their dirt bike collided with a pickup truck on Sunday in Hudson, New Hampshire.

At approximately 12:15 p.m., Hudson Police responded to reports of a motor vehicle accident in the 45 Wason Road area. A Ford Ranger pickup truck collided with a Kawasaki off-road motorcycle being driven by a young man, with another child passenger in the back, police told the newspaper.

The rider of the bike was pronounced dead at the scene, while his passenger was airlifted to nearby Elliot Hospital before being airlifted by medical helicopter to a Boston-area hospital with serious injuries. There was no immediate update on the condition of the second boy.

Police said the boys were not wearing helmets. Their ages and identities have not been revealed. The woman driving the van was not injured, authorities said.

The accident is still under investigation.
