Where it leads, “Gilmore Girls“The fans may not follow.
Jimmy Fallon spotted something pretty interesting in actor Milo Ventimigliabackground in a Zoom interview for “Tonight’s show” Monday evening.
After Fallon pointed it out, the 43-year-old “This Is Us” star quickly jumped in and grabbed the framed certificate of her Emmy nomination with a small handwritten sign hanging on it. The sign was a nod to her former “Gilmore Girls” role as Jess Mariano – the bad boy ex of Rory Gilmore (Alexis Bledel).
“He says ‘I love Dean 4 Ever’,” Ventimiglia proudly announced, referring to Dean Forester (Jared Padalecki). Dean was Rory’s first boyfriend, whom she dumped shortly after Jess made his way into her heart.
“Does it rub her face?” Fallon asked for the sign, its placement on an Emmy nomination certificate, and its reference to Padalecki.
“No no not at all. Jared [Padalecki] and I’m really good friends, and I waved for a pic someone was looking for online or something, ”the actor said. “I waved, and after I did, I just said, ‘Let me hang on to this because it’s cool’, and I literally stuck it right on my Emmy notification. that was on the wall. “
Ventimiglia has made no secret of the fact that he is the oldest of the team. During the 2015 Gilmore Girls reunion panel at the ATX TV festival, he said, “I’ve always been Team Dean. Logan [Rory’s college boyfriend] was a dick.
And why shouldn’t Ventimiglia be a Dean fan? The guy built a car for Rory, to cry out loud. The best thing Jess has ever done was get Rory out of a rut by suggesting that she write a book about her and her mother’s relationship.
So, OK, we admit it: We Love Jess 4 Ever.
