Mikel Arteta has compiled a ‘catalogue of offences’ against Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang which led to his exclusion at Arsenal last season.
The Gabon international suffered a dramatic fall after being stripped of his captaincy and left out of the first team after a number of disciplinary issues.
The 33-year-old’s situation will be aired around the world in the final episodes of Arsenal’s All Or Nothing series on Amazon Prime, where Arteta’s handling of the saga will be on view for all to see.
Anticipating the prospect of a legal fallout after dropping him from the first team, Arteta could be heard telling a member of the communications team: “That’s why I documented everything.
“With the dates, the times, the conversion, how it happened, why it happened…because if one day it is necessary.
“He’s been late, out of all trouble, multiple times. The club has a tradition. When you get paid that much money…”
In another with the club doctor, Arteta says: “What should you do? Let it be? What should you do? What are you doing? [Say] ‘it’s good’, let go?
“What has happened in the last ten years? Let it go, then the next the same, the next the same. In Spain it’s called ‘Casa Pepe’ – everyone does what they want.

Behind-the-scenes footage then showed lawyers telling Edu and Arsenal’s director of football operations Richard Garlick that they were legally “out of step” over Aubameyang’s exile.
Garlick replied, “Mikel has a record, a catalog of offenses that culminated in this.”
Acknowledging backing Arteta’s position was ‘not easy’, Edu told general manager Vinai Venkatesham: ‘We have to talk to Aubameyang and Mikel. He must come back to the team and help us until the end of the season.
Venkatesham replied: “We are going to have to reinstate him. We must.”
Aubameyang was never reinstated and instead left the club for Barcelona in the January transfer window, but even that was not without drama.
Traveling without the club’s permission, Edu and Garlick discovered Aubameyang’s travels via social media, with one of the striker’s representatives eventually telling them that he had traveled for private reasons with his father who lived there.
Finding this version of events hard to believe, Edu replied, “OK, so we live in Disneyworld.”
