Mike White took the Jets to new heights

The New York Jets could be spoiled when it comes to quarterback competition.
Quarterback Mike White has performed well for them, especially with the bench of 2021 first-round pick Zach Wilson.
Although a small sample size, White lit up the stat sheet Sunday against the Chicago Bears.
Under Mike White, the #Jets had years of seniority in several offensive categories.

With White’s performance in mind, the Jets front office will have to ask a few questions.
Are we continuing to bench Zach Wilson?
Is Mike White our future?
Both questions will arise in the coming weeks.
The Jets travel to Minnesota this week to face the Vikings.
If White can pull another rabbit out of his hat and play with a similar caliber this week against the Vikings, there will be strong pressure to name White the full-time starter.
Is White really the best quarterback?
In just seven games this year, Wilson is completing passes at a 55.6 percent rate and has thrown more interceptions on the year (five) than he has touchdown passes (four).
In his only game as a Jets starter, White completed passes at a 78.6 percent rate and threw for three touchdowns for 315 yards.
For now, it makes sense for the Jets to mount their hot hand at quarterback and continue to start White.
However, due to Wilson’s draft capital, if White has any sort of playing or production decline, the Jets can return to Wilson.
If the Jets want to make the playoffs, they will have to make their decision on their quarterback so they can continue the chemistry and team cohesion.
