Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella explains how Bing with AI is better than Google

I come from the Microsoft campus in Redmond, where just hours ago Microsoft announced that the next version of the Bing search engine would be powered by OpenAI, the company that makes ChatGPT. There is also a new version of the Edge web browser with OpenAI in-window chat technology that can help you navigate and understand web pages.
The detailed presentation showed how OpenAI running in Bing and Edge could dramatically increase your productivity. They demonstrated this by creating a travel itinerary, posting on LinkedIn, and rewriting the code to work in a different programming language.
After the presentation, I was able to hang out with Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella. Nadella has been very bullish on AI. He has already talked about AI as the next major computing platform. I wanted to talk about this next step in AI, the partnership with OpenAI, and why he thinks now is the best time to tackle Google Search.
It’s a short interview, but it’s a good one. Alright, Satya Nadella, CEO of Microsoft. Here we are.
A transcript of this interview will be available soon.
